This is a 6km moderate loop with some uneven terrain and plenty of inclines.
Start Point: Car Park for Graves of the Leinster Men.

The Graves of the Leinstermen Loop is mostly on very quiet tarmac road with the final descent on purpose-built gravel footpath, takes the walker around the western slopes of Tountinna Mountain, passing through remote countryside with exceptionally spectacular and impressive views of Lough Derg and the surrounding area. The primary feature of interest is the remains of the Graves of the Leinster Men at which point, it is said, the Leinster King and his men met their deaths at the hand of Brian Ború early in the 11th Century.

This walk is being organised by Clare Walks Ltd. as part of Féile Brian Ború 2022

Feel free to bring your own refreshments or you can travel approx. 6km back to Ballina where you will find a choice of shops, cafes and restaurants.
