Keep your eyes peeled over the waters of Lough Derg this Friday and Saturday night because a floating light installation is taking place. Light Ballet will commence at approximately 10:15pm and will be visible for 7km. The seven-minute display will run for four hours.
On Friday, this will be visible from the Whitegate/Mountshannon shores from just before 1am and will be visible until approximately 2:30am on Saturday.
On Saturday evening and Sunday morning we estimate that the light installation will first be visible from the Mountshannon area around 10pm, before making its way down to Killaloe for approximately 11pm. The light installation will then make its way back upstream towards Scariff Bay for around 1:15am. It will then make its way back down to Killaloe for 2:30am.
