Quest Lough Derg is coming to East Clare on Saturday 14th September 2019. This is an adventure race around some of Ireland's most iconic Waterways and across counties in this brand new Quest event. If successful, we hope that this will become an annual event for the East Clare area.

Tourism East Clare are working closely with the organisers of this race, Elite Event Management, Kerry, to ensure that this event is a most successful one for our area.
Before Christmas 2018, we met with Oliver Kirwan, the CEO and co-founder of Elite Event Management to discuss how this event could help put East Clare "on the map" as a destination for holidaymakers both at home and abroad.

The Quest team agreed to come to East Clare for two days to film what we have to offer if we put together a two-day itinerary of activities and products to showcase the area.
We took the challenge and created an absolutely jam-packed itinerary for them, which we feel gave a snapshot of the amazing activities and products that we have here on our doorstep.

On 13th and 14th March, committee members Christine O'Brien and Arlene White, headed off for a two day adventure in East Clare.
The first stop was Derg Isle Adventure Centre just outside Scariff, where the team got a great introduction to the business from a very enthusiastic Tony. The group took part in Zip Line Bicycle; the climbing wall, a race around the obstacle course - we're still unsure who won and there was a bit of cheating going on; Archery and knife & axe throwing.
For the first time ever, Derg Isle are now open for bookings from the public which is a great opportunity for people to try a range of land and water activities - check it out here!

Tune in again tomorrow for more details of this exciting adventure in East Clare!
