Length 12.75km

Elevation 528m

Moylussa is County Clare's tallest peak standing at an impressive 532m tall. To hike to the top of Moylussa, one should start from the base in Twomilegate. Then start on the hike up part of the Ballycuggaran Looped Walk before following the signs for Moylussa.

The majority of the hike continues up a stone trail. However, there is a boardwalk through a bog near the summit. For the most part, the hike is generally moderate, however towards the summit, it gets quite steep and difficult. The weather is extremely changeable at the summit, with thick fog very common so be aware of this if embarking on this beautiful hike.

Moylussa is a great place to watch the sunrise, but do check the weather.
