St. Patrick's Day, celebrated annually on March 17th, honours the patron saint of Ireland with festivities that showcase Irish culture and heritage. In Ireland, St. Patrick's Day is not only a day of revelry but also marks a national bank holiday, allowing people to fully immerse themselves in the festivities and enjoy a well-deserved break.

Here are some fantastic events in East Clare this St. Patrick's Weekend.

On The Wind Swept Hill of Tulla - Friday, 15th March

This evening of song and dance supports Clare's lifeguards and coastguard services. Taking place on Friday, March 15th at Cnoc na Gaoithe, Tulla. Featuring Binneas' All-Ireland Gael Linn Champions, Michael White, Cooraclare Novelty Act, Cara Hely, Paddy Shannon and many more.

There is no coverage charge, however, donations are hugely appreciated. Doors open at 7pm with the evening commencing at 8pm.

Kilkishen St. Patrick's Day Parade - Saturday, 16th March

Kilkishen Development are hosting a St Patrick's Day Parade. All clubs and groups are invited to participate and are encouraged to bring banners and any achievements they may have from the previous year. Assemble at the GAA Club at 12:15pm on March 16th, for the parade to commence at 1pm.

Killaloe Ballina St. Patrick's Day Parade - Sunday, 17th March

Come and be part of the excitement in Ballina-Killaloe as we celebrate our patron Saint at the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade. Kicking off at 2:15pm from the Ballina GAA Complex, the parade will wind its way through the vibrant streets of Ballina, across the bridge, and up the main street in Killaloe, culminating in the Green where the reviewing stand awaits.

Expect a spectacle of colour, joy, and endless fun for the whole family to relish!

Scariff St. Patrick's Day Parade - Sunday, 17th March

The Scariff St. Patrick's Day Parade is celebrating its 35th year. Leaving Hasset's in Tuamgraney at 3pm led by the Tulla Pipe Band and finishes in Scariff Town Centre. Children's entertainment will be provided on the day.

Tulla St. Patrick's Day Parade - Sunday, 17th March

Tulla's St Patrick's Day parade will take place on Sunday 17th March starting at 4.30pm. This year's theme is "Movies and Magic".  Assemble at St Mochulla's National School from 4pm. Entry is free.  The Tulla Pipe Band will lead the parade.  The parade route is from school, up the main street, past the library.  We would love people to send us their photos on the day, email to tullaparade@hotmail.com, we will post on our Facebook page "Tulla Sports and Social club".
