This month's East Clare Challenger is all about the magic that exists within East Clare. Home to many myths, legends and magical creatures the East Clare region is truly wondrous.

So, let your imagination run wild with this month's East Clare Challenger!

Adults — get your hiking shoes one

Whether you're participating in 100 Days of Walking, or just looking to explore the many walks that East Clare has to offer, why not try this month's East Clare Challenger!

For this month's challenge, all you have to do is head to the magnificent 12 O'Clock Hills and complete your favourite walk. Snap a picture of what you think is the most magical aspect of the walk and share it with us!

Children — sprinkle a bit of magic

Did you know that East Clare is home to not one, not two, but three magical fairy trails!

For this month's East Clare Challenger, we want you to head to any of these three fairy trails with your East Clare Bear and get a parent or guardian to take a photo of your East Clare Bear wandering amongst the magical fairy villages.

East Clare Bear — your adventure companion

Meet the East Clare Bear — your friendly companion to help you keep discovering the magic of East Clare. Head on an adventure throughout the region with your very own East Clare Bear and unearth a wealth of activities and adventures. 

Instructions

  1. Download your East Clare Bear.
  2. Print your East Clare Bear.
  3. Decorate and colour in your bear — you can be as creative as you want!
  4. Cut out your East Clare Bear with the help of a parent or guardian.
  5. Get some cardboard (a cereal box is great) and with the help of a parent or guardian use some glue to stick your bear to the cardboard.
  6. You may need to cut around the cardboard.

There is also a colouring page of a magical fairy door available for download if you want to have a fairy door in your own house!

Prizes

Submit photos of you completing some of the continuous East Clare Challenges to be in with the chance of winning some prizes. Prizes include; tote bags, beanies and Wilde Irish Chocolate's teddy bear chocolate lollipops. Children entering with photos of their East Clare Bear will be in with the chance of winning their own cuddly East Clare Bear.
